In the beautiful border countryside Viskadalen between Halland and Västergötland Horreds is located since 1936. Horreds makes eco-labeled furniture for both homes and public spaces with the premise for a natural way of thinking that both design, quality and environmental concerns. Horreds goal is not to be the biggest but to be the best at producing and selling high-quality furniture with tasteful design. But also to produce simultaneously timeless and modern furniture with a long lifespan. Horreds currently runs a client-driven production in which only the commissioned production, which also results in minimal waste. This means that no products are specialized and all are produced as standard output regardless of the quantity. Horreds is today a company that allows up to 90 % customized products, both to achieve high design and quality for the customer and to promote customer's brand. The owners of Horreds have been fortunate to be working in a family business together with their grandfather, father and uncle. They have all been, and remains inspired by the fact that Horreds must reduce their emissions and ensure that we contribute to a good external and internal environment. All products from Horreds are made with a great concern for factors such as materials, materials efficiency, demounting and recovery. Horreds is now being operated by Per-Ola and Åsa Johansson, whose grandfather, Sven Johansson, started the company in 1936 at the same place where the factory is located today. Sven was in his turn trained by his father who also was a cabinetmaker.
