At the same time both hard work and great fun!", says Camilla Engdahl, ceramic artist and designer with studio and workshop in Skövde (central part of Sweden). She works with clay, this she throughs on the wheel or sometimes moldes to make pieces with a practical perpose. It can be cups, bowls and now lately pots! Pots with shapes of animals or humans.
"Pots in the shape of figures has come to me now these last years, and is perhaps the most fun and interesting to work with at the moment!" says Camilla. Old magazines and textiles from the 70s has been an inspiration for the retro-feeling of the pots, with strong colours and bold patterns . "My wish is that they should be loved and used in the everyday life."
Camilla, who is educated at the handcraftschool Capellagården and the highscool
HDK (Högskolan för design och konsthantverk) in Gothenburg, works also as a designer for extern companies.
