This masterplan seeks to build on the character of the places at the corners of this large former void in the city, creating ‘more of London’, whilst providing 1,000 new homes and 150,000 sq ft of small scale retail and commercial uses. Set around the valley of the lost River Fleet, the masterplan draws the activity and character of Clerkenwell into the heart of the site, with a revitalised Royal Mail Museum at its centre, facing a new public square. With three new significant public spaces and new routes across the site, the masterplan aims to bring real benefits and connectivity to the neighbourhood.
