Siddik Erdogan

Ebubekir Siddik Erdogan (born in Turkey, 1987) is a freelance designer based in Izmir/ Turkey. He graduated in 2009 from Izmir University of Economics in interior design. During his four-year university education, he has worked with many professional design and architecture offices both as part time and full time employee. Apart from his all student and professional works, he attended many national and international design competitions and won many awards.
His design works are covering the wide range from architectural- and interior design to digital animations with an expertise in 3D Visualization. In addition to his digital and conceptual design skills, he has profound knowledge of woodwork arts and crafts, which enables him to also manufacture complicated interior wood designs (see Green Bistro).
In 2009, he started to work as an Interior Architect in and resort project held by Serra Tourism and Boutique Hotel Management Firm. After a certain while, he resigned from that job and started to work with Alle Interior Architects and Dekomod Architects, as a project partner. In 2010, getting another job offer from Izmir University of Economics, he started to work with the design group of the university, Ecotam on the design and construction project of the new Fine Arts and Design Faculty building, as an interior architect and computer graphics (CG) artist. Meanwhile, he worked with a group of architects in Tozkoparan Architects, on an Opera Building Architectural Design Project which was opened by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The group was awarded for that project with mention award.
Working for Izmir University of Economics, he met Jörn Fröhlich who is a full time instructor in the departments of Fashion Design and also a freelance artist and designer in theatre, fashion and retail design. In a short time, they started a bistro interior design project together for a German department store, Lengermann + Trieschmann that he took over the whole responsibility for the construction project and management. He, himself worked in the construction site in Germany for the construction of the project.
During his studies he worked on local architectural projects in Turkey, especially Izmir and Istanbul. Today he has successfully finished architectural projects in Germany and is currently establishing design-cooperations in Switzerland and England.
