Latitude is a medium sized architectural practice based in Central London. The practice was established in 2000 by Andrew Gilbert and Michael Griffiths who together have over 40 years experience of design and construction within the UK and abroad.
Latitude was established as an unashamedly design orientated practice that strenuously attempts to achieve high quality design solutions that meet the client's brief, budgetary and commercial requirements. As a result, the workload of the practice has steadily expanded to include a varied and interesting mix of projects including residential developments, commercial developments, educational buildings, theatres, retail developments and industrial schemes.
The location of the work of the practice ranges across the UK and includes both urban and rural sites. A wide range of project scale is actively sought and consequently varies from projects with construction costs ranging from £50m to £1m.
The practice has grown organically since inception and now has a strong international flavour with a mix of architects from various countries. This is enhanced by an annual study trip abroad each year to visit the best examples of European historical and contemporary architecture.
