In 2005 Chae Songhee and Laurent Pereira teamed up to win the Grand Prize at a competition organized by UIA and the City of Seoul for the design of the Seoul Performing Arts Center in 2005.
With their first housing project, GODZILLA, they received the Seoul Architecture Prize. In 2009 they were awarded the Eom Deok-mun Prize from the Korean Institute of Architects (KIA) and in 2010 they participated in the exhibition “New Trajectories: Convergent Flux Korea,” held at Harvard University.
